About Cemeteries

The term "cemetery" implies that the land is specifically designated as a burying ground. A graveyard, on the other hand, is located in a churchyard, although a churchyard can also be any patch of land on church grounds.

To a person researching their family tree or roots, a cemetery or graveyard is a gold mine ... if it's the right cemetery, of course. And that is the real trick. While roaming around, we have found some resources for cemeteries that might be of help.

As always, if you know of other web pages with resources or information, please let us know.
