About CemeteriesThe term "cemetery" implies that the land is specifically designated as a burying ground. A graveyard, on the other hand, is located in a churchyard, although a churchyard can also be any patch of land on church grounds. To a person researching their family tree or roots, a cemetery or graveyard is a gold mine ... if it's the right cemetery, of course. And that is the real trick.
